Raila, President Uhuru Kenyatta, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi have been accused of leading the political families in trying to control the nation's direction by allies of Deputy President William Ruto.

However, speaking on Saturday, Aladwa rubbished the claims, adding that Raila's political success has nothing to do with that of his father, founding Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.

In an interview on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi show, he opined that the former Prime Minister and ex-Langata MP made it to the top on his own, as he would have otherwise gone for the Bondo MP seat.

"If Raila was following in the steps of Jaramogi he would have vied in Bondo and not the cosmopolitan Nairobi. (Kama Raila angetaka kufuata Jaramogi angesimama Bondo na sio Nairobi penye kuna watu wote)," he said.

He pointed out that there is a great difference between the two leaders, and Raila should therefore not be made to carry the guilt of being Jaramogi' son.

He noted the same applies to President Kenyatta, whom he observed also has only his efforts to thank for his success, and not his father's presidency and political name.

"They are different people, Uhuru too made it on his own. (Hawa watu ni tofauti, Uhuru pia alijipigania mwenyewe)," he added.

This comes only two days after Uhuru warned those banking on the narrative for political mileage that they will not succeed.
