In an article that was first covered by online news site Hivisasa.com, the mother of the children identified as Moraa, narrated how it was difficult to raise the children given abject poverty at her home.

But Ford Kenya MP Vincent Kemosi said he will give the family financial support, adding that he was in the process of securing one of the parents a job.

His aide, Egra Ongo who visited the parents homestead in Bogichora, said the MP would do all he can to ensure the children are brought up in a serene environment.

"We read on social media in an article that stated the plight of the family and took the matter to Mheshimiwa. He was very much concerned and sent us to the homestead.

"He has given a few items and has promised to try and help the family. These children must grow in a good environment and that's a guarantee. I am very hopeful and optimistic," she said.

County's Health boss Douglas Bosire hailed doctors from Nyamira Country Referral Hospital for successful delivery and asked locals to be using the facility.

"We have facilities and enough manpower. Let us encourage our women to be coming here more often. We have handled many cases including that one," he said.

Mr Kemosi is serving his first term and has tabled a bill in Parliament that seeks to introduce Free Feeding programme in all primary schools in the country.
