Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has disowned the new title 'Super Minister'.
According to Matiang'i, the title is not necessary for him because he is hard working.
"What is a super minister? I feel that the name doesn't fit me because I was promoted to sit with my colleagues in Cabinet to help the President deliver his promises to Kenyans," said Matiang'i.
He said his new role following the promotion is to coordinate government projects across all corners of this country.
"We have held six meetings since I was promoted and a number of issues have been discussed. I only chair the meetings where I compile reports and report directly to the president," said Matiang'i.
Among the issues Matiang'i revealed that he has streamlined include funding of projects.
"No funds will be allocated to new projects because we have stalled projects which were underfunded. Anyone with plans to start a new project will have to wait until the end of the existing project," stated Matiang'i.
He assured that he won't let the president down whatsoever.
Matiang'i was speaking on Wednesday morning during an interview at a local Fm station.
