Speaking to this writer on phone, Abdi Sheikh Abdullahi Yunis alias Abdi Baqad said that they will seek court injuction on the matter claiming that the sacking was politically motivated.

Abdi added that their sacking was due a long time ago owing to their divergent political opinions.

"We had seen the sacking coming. In fact, I can say that it was due long time ago only that it is being effected now. But we shall seek a court injunction on this matter," revealed Abdi.

In a statement released on Thursday, the Garissa Water and Sewerage Company (GAWASCO) announced that it had indefinately terminated the services of five officials effective 26 September 2018.

The officials sacked include; Roble Aden Jooga, Emanuel Mutuko, Abdikadir Barrow and Jamal Shafi'i.

The sacking happens at a time when GAWASCO has been criticised for poor service delivery, a fact that has seen several areas go for weeks without a drop of water.
