The man's lifeless body was found under a tree on Sunday afternoon in a forest near Gitaru dam.

The man had a noose around his neck an indication that he fell after the rope he used couldn't stand his weight.

The incident was confirmed by Masinga sub-county police commander Francis Siror who said that the reason why the man decided to take his life is still unknown.

Siror said the man was working as a herdsman in the area and his body was discovered by members of the public who raised alarm.

"He hails from Yathui in Mwala sub-county, as to why he decided to kill himself is still a mystery since he left no suicide note behind," said the police boss in a phone interview.

He also warned residents against giving up in life to a point of committing suicide stating that no one is having an easy life.

"We are all struggling with something in life but we don't give up instead we find solutions and seek help when stuff is too much," Siror said.

The body was taken to Mbaku funeral home in Matuu for preservation as investigations into the incident began.
