Nandi County Senator Samson Cherargei has been summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) over remarks he made at a funeral over the weekend.
Through a letter seen by Hivisasa, the Nandi Senator has been summoned to appear before the Nandi East DCI on August 21 at 9:00 am.
“I Ramadham Wasilwa a detective attached to Nandi East as the divisional Criminal Investigation Officer and investigating into a case of threatening of peace which occurred on 17th August 2019 while in a funeral of the late teacher at Lelwak in O'lesos."
"I have a reason to believe that you Samson Cherargei have useful information which will assist me in my investigation,” the letter read.
“In exercise of the powers conferred to me under section 52(1) of the National Police Service Act No. 11 of 2011, I require you Samson Charargei to appear before me on 21at August 2019 at 9:00 am without fail,” it added.
