Kuria appeared to take issue with Duale's contention that Mount Kenya region had held power for long and should allow other regions the opportunity to ascend to the presidency.

"To my colleagues from Mt. Kenya, Kenya belongs to all of us; since independence, Central Kenya has dominated the leadership, and we should spread both political and economic dominance to all the communities to create an all-inclusive and stable nation for future generations," Duale had tweeted.

Kuria railed against the Garissa Township MP's comments, saying that those comments carried with them the risk of messing up the deputy president.

"Somebody like Duale thinks he is doing the deputy president favour by saying what he has said. No, he's actually messing him up, " the Gatundu South member of parliament said. (4:16-4:25)

Moses Kuria went on to say that Duale was trying to suggest impossible thinks in a bid to detail the BBI.

He called on Kenyans to exercise a level of patience and wait for the BBI report to be handed over to President Uhuru Kenyatta and veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Duale has vouched for a Westminster-style parliamentary system that gives all communities equal chance at the presidency regardless of numbers.
