Speaking during an interview on KTN's Point Blank on Wednesday, Nyong’o said that the leaders pushing for BBI have no hidden agenda.

He argued that the report is aimed at making the country a better place and not sharing of power as perceived by some leaders.

"BBI is not a vehicle for usurping power. If anything #BBI is proposing ways in which power should not be usurped through proper constitutional reforms," he said.

The county boss also opposed the winner takes it all is one of the major problems facing Kenyans.  The former senator said that it is saddening to note that the country is divided into tribal lines. He opined that time has come for the country to adopt the parliamentary system of governance for the sake of the economic progress of the nation.

"The idea of a winner takes it all is not good for developing countries. A country which is divided along ethnic lines & others requires a parliamentary democracy which includes minorities and ethnic representation," he said.

He also defended President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila for rooting for the report.

"What the Uhuru-Raila led BBI is presenting is proposals. If anyone else has another proposal put it on the table," he said.
