Njambi Juice, as she calls herself on Instagram, explained that she was half Kenyan and half Irish and therefore people should stop treating her ability to speak Kikuyu as abnormal.

“So it has been brought to my attention that me a biracial woman who is half Kenyan half Irish cannot speak apparently because she is Irish woman speaking Kikuyu or a white woman trying to speak Kikuyu.

Let me tell you something, first of all my name is Njambi, Njaaambi; straight Murang’a Kikuyu realness,” Njambi explained.

Meanwhile, Kenyans on social media have been amazed at her fluency at Kikuyu language. Some even went ahead to acknowledge her as an inspiration to Kenyans living in the diaspora.

Njambi has however had a hard time convincing the netizens that she is indeed a Kenyan. She even went ahead to speak Swahili and Kikuyu just to convince the internet that she was not just any other white girl speaking Kikuyu.

“Just in case the Swahili and English didn’t resonate here it goes in KIKUYU!!! I have been ten toes down repping for Kenya since I was born!!” she captioned a video in which she spoke Kikuyu.

A section of the internet has applauded Njambi for embracing her Kenyan culture despite being partially Irish.
