Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has appealed for the public to offer their prayers during the 'trying moments' he is currently enduring.
The vocal MP who hails from President Uhuru Kenyatta's backyard made the remarks after alleged demonstration in his constituency.
Moses Kuria accused the organizers of the demos of being the enemies of development.
According to him, he has ensured there is transformation in Gatundu South unlike what the demonstrators were trying to portray.
''Pray for me. Today maadui wa maendeleo had organised a 'Million Man March' demonstration against myself in Gatundu Town. It was so massive that political historians are rushing there to make notes for history books. A number of Political Science PhD students have changed their thesis to 'Organising Record Breaking Political Demonstrations: The case of deep State in Gatundu South' . Note the quality of the roads where demonstrators were marching,'' read Moses Kuria's post.
According to a report by the Standard, the demos were orchestrated by a former governor who have accused Moses Kuria of disrespecting President Uhuru.
It is also alleged that there are plans to 'punish' Kuria by ensuring they install another lawmaker even before 2022 general elections.
Claims of Moses Kuria disrespecting President Uhuru Kenyatta were echoed by Limuru MP Peter Mwathi who urged the firebrand second-term parliamentarian to tame his public rants against the Commander-in-chief.
"Does this man have a wife and children? How does he go home and sit down with his family after hurling such insults in public,” he said.
