Kiunjuri on Tuesday found himself out of the cabinet after President Uhuru Kenyatta failed to assign him any duties, as he reshuffled his cabinet.

On Wednesday, Deddy said that he and his other constituents have welcomed the same, accusing Kiunjuri of poor leadership.

"As residents of Laikipia East, we totally support the decision by the President to sack Kiunjuri. We have over the years been affected by bad leadership from our brother Kiunjuri,” he said.

Deddy, who is also Kiunjuri's MP, given that Kiunjuri was also area MP before being tipped for the Cabinet job, made the remarks at the Nanyuki Central Park.

He accused the former CS of engaging in early politicking with an eye on the 2022 polls, further claiming that Kiunjuri has been using his position to dictate to Laikipia leaders.

He predicted tough political days for Kiunjuri in the future, adding that any political formation he will try to sell to the people will be met with rejection from the masses.

"We dare you to try selling that political party here in Laikipia East. You will not get any follower because we are deeply focused on assisting the President in realising his development agenda," he added.

He hoped that Peter Munya, who has taken over the ministry, will be able to turn the agricultural stir around for the sake of Kenyans.

Before his sacking, Kiunjuri was seen as a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto.
