It can be fatal if not attended to as fast as possible. Most of those affected are outdoor workers, infants, the orderly people as well as those with different medical issues such as diarrhoea or malaria.

To keep close watch of suffering from heatstroke, check out for these signs;

1. High body temperature with no sweating

Elevation of body temperatures to almost 40 Degrees Celsius or higher with little or no sweating at all is the main sign of heatstroke.

This will also result in increased headache. It will be of help once you allow the affected to rest under shade, take a shower with cold water before seeking medical attention.

2. Difficulties in breathing

A person suffering from heatstroke will encounter difficulties to breathe, a situation which can lead to coma or unconsciousness.

3. Red hot skin

As body temperatures increase, the affected will have his/her skin with different patches turning red, a clear sign that they are suffering from heatstroke.

4. Rapid pulse

Heat stress as a result of heatstroke will make it difficult for the heart to control heartbeats and this will create racing to rapid pulses that need quick medical intervention before it becomes worse.
