Nyali Member of Parliament Mohamed Ali has hit out at ODM leader Raila Odinga, accusing him of betrayal.
In a hard-hitting post on his Facebook page, Saturday, the lawmaker accused the former Prime Minister of abandoning those who died during the 2017 general election by joining the alleged oppressors.
"Today, Raila has forgotten about the 17 youths who died as he was returning home from Europe, the death of Baby Pendo. The death of tens of others in the country, the violence witnessed in 2007, 2013 and 2017 plus the deaths of his friends Jacob Juma and Chris Msando. (Leo Raila Odinga amesahau vijana kumi na saba waliouawa alipokuwa akirudi kutoka ulaya, amesahau mauaji ya mtoto PENDO, vifo vya makumi ya watu kote nchini, ghasia za uchaguzi mwaka wa 2007, 2013, 2017 pamoja na mauaji ya kinyama ya rafiki zake JACOB JUMA na CHRIS MUSANDO)," read part of Mohamed Ali's post.
Baby Pendo was killed in their Kisumu home by people believed to be police officers, hours after President Uhuru Kenyatta was declared the winner of the August 7, 2017, general election.
On the other hand, businessman Jacob Juma was killed in May 2016 by unknown people while Msando was the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission ICT Director who was killed and his body dumped into the forest days before the 2017 general election.
Ali further took the ODM chief head-on, accusing him of hypocrisy.
According to the lawmaker, Raila is now praising Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i and his Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho, the very people he used to accuse in the past.
