Deputy President William Ruto on Friday attended a prayer mass for Ethiopian plane crash victims at the St Michael's Catholic Church, Bahati, Nakuru County.
Ruto was among leaders who graced the prayer mass of Paul Njoroge who lost his entire family alongside the mother-in-law following the tragic incident.
Njoroge’s wife, Caroline Nduta Karanja met her untimely death alongside her mother, Mrs Ann Wangui Karanja.
His three sons also perished after the jet crashed moments after leaving the Addis Ababa Airport.
The DP comforted Njoroge and prayed for solace and inner peace.
“Paul Njoroge has suffered immeasurable anguish, distress, sorrow after losing his wife, three children and mother-in-law in fatal Ethiopia Airlines plane crash. We pray that God gives him strength, inner peace and comfort. Only Him can bring healing and solace in face of grief," he said.
Ruto was accompanied by Governors; Lee Kinyanjui (Nakuru), and Ferdinard Waititu of Kiambu among other guests.
