Embattled Migori Governor Okoth Obado was on Monday charged afresh over the murder of his girlfriend Sharon Otieno.
The prosecution team led by Jacob Ondari consolidated his case with that of aides Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero even as their plea to be released on bond was handled separately.
Mr. Obado is accused of plotting and executing death of Ms. Otieno, a second year student of Rongo University along with unborn child.
The deceased student will be buried on October 18th this year after the family gave a go-ahead.
Interestingly, Obado will not have an opportunity to oversee Migori senatorial by-election in which he had declared support for Eddie Oketch, a rival candidate to his ODM party.
And his bail application will be heard on Friday after Judge Jessie Lessit made a ruling on Monday.
He will continue getting medication at Kenyatta National Hospital Private wing over stomachache.
