Makueni lawmaker Dan Maanzo now wants Kenyans to rubbish the rivalry currently being seen between ODM leader Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto.
The two and their allies have been attacking each other lately, the latest being Ruto's Sunday remarks that Raila should be ready to accept defeat in the 2022 presidential race.
Speaking on Tuesday, the Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) MP claimed that chances are high that the two might reunite ahead of 2022 and work together.
"Kenyans shouldn't be shocked to see these two working together and drinking tea, I have such information (Wakenya wasishangae kuwaona hawa wawili wakifanya kazi pamoja na wakikunywa chai, mimi niko na fununu)" he said.
The MP made the remarks on Radio Maisha's Bunge La Maisha on Tuesday morning, where he further urged the DP to drop his current hard stand against Raila.
He said that Ruto, despite his attacks on Raila and his allies in the opposition, is well aware that he cannot make it on his own, and might be forced to go back for the others.
"If Ruto really loves the country let him work with fellow leaders. He won't go anywhere if he goes alone (Kama kweli Ruto anapenda nchi afanye kazi na wengine maana akienda peke yake haendi popote)," he added.
While Ruto's presidential ambitions are in the public domain, Raila has remained silent on his plans despite his allies repeatedly hinting that he might take a fifth shot at the top post.
