ODM party on Thursday hosted leaders from Taita Taveta County just a week after DP William Ruto hosted leaders from the region.
Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna said the county leadership visited Orange House although he did not share further details.
"With a section of @TheODMparty leadership from Taita Taveta County led by Senator Mwaruma, National Vice Chair Hon Mwadeghu, and County Chair Richard Tairo when they paid us a courtesy call at Chungwa House this morning.#MbelePamoja," he wrote.
ODM party is keen to continue with dominance in the region amid forays by Ruto.
ODM party is set for grassroots poll in the coming month, which would see politicians taking each other at the grassroots.
Dr Ruto organised a meeting which was coordinated by County Woman Representative Lydiah Haika, a rebel of the party.
Haika said the ruling party is gaining popularity at the Coast and will soon overthrow the opposition.
“We are the only party that has fronted a candidate for 2022. This means we are way ahead of other parties,” she argued.
Raila Odinga has also been keen to control the region and has since wooed Governor Granton Samboja of Wiper.
