Even as sleuths launch vicious hunt for one Violet Kemunto, details about her past have emerged with her character potrayed as a modest woman obsessed with fashion.
Kemunto, a graduate of Journalism from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, reportedly disappeared on Tuesday when her husband, Ali Salim Gichunge, died in the DusitD2 terror attack.
The officers, stationed in various parts of the expansive estate of Ruaka, said they had orders to eject, if need be violently, anyone who came close to the house including journalists.
The kind of force present at her residence proved that solving how a university graduate who, as recently as 2016, enjoyed partying in the clubs of Kisii town, was complex.Whatever happened to Kemunto is a question that her friends and relatives want answered.
At Kisii, she last visited in 2016 June where she took photos with relatives and even visited various clubs within the town. Throughout her days in campus, the soft spoken quiet girl frequently visited Gusii, where her mother was born.
But according to her sister who spoke to the Nation, she disappeared from limelight in October 2016, keeping all, if not most of her relatives in darkness.
At campus, it emerged, she had a boyfriend whom she dated for the better part of four years. However, the two may have lost each other's contacts upon graduation.
Back in Kisii and Nyamira Counties, her name remained one of the most discussed with locals trying to ponder the reason behind the graduate's move to join a deadly terror group.
