The motorists claimed that Uhuru and Ruto have failed to offer quality leadership and should, therefore resign.

"As motorists we have been forced to park our matatus because there is no fuel. Uhuru and Ruto promised to change our lives but, in vain. The two should resign and give room for other leaders to take over," said David Mogesa, a PSV driver plying Kisii-Oyugis route.

Elkanah Moenga, a driver playing Kisii-Kilgoris route said petrol stations in Kisii town have run out of fuel after the government implemented the 16 percent VAT on petroleum products.

"We don't see the importance of having Uhuru and Ruto as leaders in this country. They are failures who should be evicted from office," he said.

Emily Ndiege said she bought a Nissan matatu on loan but, her investment has been parked gathering dust due to lack of fuel.

" I am in a dilemma because the driver and his conductor parked the vehicle on Wednesday evening due to lack of fuel. Uhuru and Ruto are failures and should consider resigning before things get worse," she noted.
