Miguna said that he only supported Raila Odinga because he won the election.

Speaking in an interview at K24 TV on Sunday, the deported lawyer justified his support towards the former Prime Minister terming it the right thing he did.

"I supported Raila Odinga's quest in 2017 not because he is better than Kenyatta. I supported him because he won an election. I believe he won the election. It was the right thing to do. That is how principled I am," Miguna Miguna said, according to a K24 tweet.

The former Nairobi County gubernatorial aspirant further urged all Kenyans to support the quest of justice in the country.

He revealed that it is not a must for Kenyans to support him, as they have the right to self determination but asked them to act against any type of injustices that are seen in the country.

"The people of Kenya are sovereign. They have the right to self determine. I urge all Kenyans not to support me, but to support the quest for justice, constitutionalism and rule of law," he said.

Miguna Miguna was deported to Canada after the controversial swearing in of Raila Odinga as the people's president following the disputed 2017 polls.

His attempts to return to the country have been thwarted by the government despite several court orders allowing him back.
