Kiss 100 who had earlier reported that Machachari actress Wanjiku Mburu, commonly known by her stage name as 'Mama Baha' had passed away from cancer have now rectified their erroneous reporting.
The blog has apologized for their wrong reporting to the Mama Baha, whom they contacted, and her family members.
"We wish to apologize to Wanjiku Mburu and her family for any inconviniences caused by my confusion," wrote Kiss 100.
The blog stated that it is not Mama Baha who died but Machachari's director of photography, Mburu Kimani's wife, Pamela Wanjiru.
Mama Baha has added her voice on her death rumors. Speaking to K24 Digital on Wednesday, Mama Baha said that she is well and alive.
“I am well. The blogs, which falsely killed me, failed to get the name [of the deceased] right. It is unfortunate. My heart goes out to Mburu Kimani and his family for the loss of their loved one," she said as quoted by K24tv.
Her death rumors comes just days after Citizen TV's management cancelled the program from airing.
The popular teen show Machachari, which has been airing for over ten years was cancelled due to the age of its characters.
With such erroneous reporting in circulation, she is not the first Kenyan celebrity to be killed on social media.
