It is a matter that was brought to the attention of the area Member of Parliament Dr Swarrup Mishra during a National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) cheque presentation on Friday by local Members of County Assembly.

But in his response, Mishra promised to address the concerns and vowed to stage a hunger strike if the roads are not repaired within the next 15 days.

"This time we will not protest carrying leaves, but as your Member of Parliament, I promise to sit on a hunger strike till death," he said.

The first-time lawmaker later called Nandi Hills Member of Parliament Alfred Keter and put him on speaker as he confirmed that they had reached an agreement to ensure a road that cuts through the two constituencies is fixed as soon as possible.

He, however, reaffirmed his commitment to diligent serving the electorate and ensuring all the pre-election pledges he made are fulfilled.
