For now, Obado remains in his Nairobi home as the legal team study the ruling and make necessary decisions before he resumes duties.

A source privy to the governor's operations, says that the 20 kilometres restrictions between Migori and Homa Bay Counties could automatically lead to the violation of the order thus land him in trouble.

"They are impractical and will only provide avenues for Mr Obado to be remanded immediately. We are still consulting but appeal is inevitable," said the source.

" This is like another remand prison life, away from Industrial Area," he added.

Mr. Obado usually takes flights to Kisumu before navigating through Homa Bay County to his Migori home, the reason why he's worried.

Also, his Uriri home is located approximately 10 kilometres from the restricted border of the two counties further throwing him into a limbo.

The only practical way to avoid violating the condition is by taking flights to his Migori rented home, a move that could injure him financially.

He's accused of murdering his girlfriend Sharon Otieno, who was buried last week Friday. Mr. Obado returns to court in May 2019 when the trial starts.
