The Narok boy who impressed Kenyans on social media with his reporting skills has finally been granted the experience of being in a newsroom.
Levis Saoli explained on Wednesday why he wants to be a practising journalist in the future.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with renowned Swahili presenter, Nimrod Taabu, on Royal Media Services-owned Citizen Television, the aspiring journalist said he wanted to venture into the world of journalism because he wants to experience the interaction that journalists enjoy in their craft.
"What I love about journalism is the interaction that journalists have with their guests and those that they are reporting on. I would love to experience that interaction (Kile ambacho napenda katika uanahabari ni the interaction wanahabari wanapata na wageni wao na wale ambao wanatangaza kuwahusu. Hiyo interaction ningependa kuiexperience)," the young boy said.
Levis Saoli revealed that the person behind the camera when the video that viral was being shot was none other than his sister.
Linus Kaikai, the Director of Strategy and Innovation at the Royal Media Services has said that he is keen on mentoring the young boy to ensure that his journalistic ambitions come true in the future.
Mr Kaikai found out about the viral video after scores of social media users tagged him in posts shared alongside the video.
