Kenyan social media users expressed outrage and disappointment after learning that little progress has been made in taking action against suspects who were at the centre of corruption allegations and gross abuse of office at Maasai Mara University.
A section of the Kenyan netizens claimed that the matter had not been treated with the seriousness it deserves citing that such a case should be in court.
According to a follow-up story that was aired on Citizen TV on Tuesday night, some of the officials who were involved in the corruption allegations were still in office.
The Vice-Chancellor who was at the centre of the allegations was on the other hand on work leave.
A number of the Kenyans on Twitter questioned the manner in which investigations into the case were being conducted, with some adding that there might be foul play.
A group of the netizens pointed out that the slow progress of the case reflected was a reflection of many other cases especially ones involving corruption.
The netizens nonetheless sympathized with the whistleblowers whom they claim put their lives at risk to create change, but still, there was no improvement.
