He says such businesses are illegal and cannot be tolerated.

"Anyone who will be found selling Changaa or bhang yet she has been given a stall to sell vegetables stern action will be taken and her licence confiscated," said the Uasin Gishu County Commander.

Ipara who spoke to the press in Eldoret town on Wednesday said he will not allow such illegal business to continue at the wholesale market because it threatens Counties security.

"I want to give a stern warning to those involved in such illegal business to either stop doing it and look for alternative jobs or face the full force of the law. We cannot stay mum while the lives of our children are being destroyed," Ipara added.

The County commander called on the county government of Uasin Gishu officials mandated to give licences to conduct investigations and give licenses to those only doing legal business.

They should ensure those doing business are doing businesses that they licensed them to do.

Ipara further urged those conducting business at the Eldoret Wholesale market to act as their watchdog by reporting those doing illegal business and promised to take stern actions against them.
