Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna should be allowed back in the country, political analyst Martin Andati has said.
Currently, Miguna remains stranded in Germany, after he was ejected from an Air France plane that was to fly him to Kenya on Tuesday.
Reacting to the news, Andati said the Kenyan government's apparent war against Miguna is soiling the Kenyan brand among foreigners.
He said this could have negative effects on among others, the tourism sector, with potential tourists likely to dismiss a country whose government is fighting its own citizens.
"This soils the Kenyan brand out there. Kenya needs tourists, who cannot visit here as a result of the wrangles. These details are on the internet and are a great shame to the country. (Hii inachafua ile brand Kenya pale nje. Kenya inahitaji watalii na hawawezi kuja hapa wakiona kuna utata. Mambo haya yako kwenye mitandao na yanaleta aibu sana)," he said on Wednesday.
He made the remarks in an interview on Radio Maisha's Bunge La Maisha, where he added that the fact that Miguna is a Kenyan by birth cannot be disputed.
The commentator urged the government not to revenge against the former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant over his attacks, but prove him wrong.
According to him, its upon the government to convince Kenyans that the allegations he has been making are not true, by releasing the factual details, but not frustrating him.
"He has been making a lot of allegations about these top politicians. If they feel that he is lying let them avail the real details. (Amekua akitoa habari sana kuhusu hawa wanasiasa wakuu. Kama wanaona ni uwongo wakuje na zile habari za kweli)," he said.
