Mohammed on his twitter account said that it was clear the President was supporting his deputy in his choices.

He said Ruto should also stop insinuating that the handshake and Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) are about 2022 succession. Junet further said this after President Uhuru endorsed Mc Donald Mariga for Kibra by-election.

"Let me not hear you again running around villages claiming that Raila is dividing Jubilee party and the Handshake and BBI is about 2022," read his tweet.

Junet's response was in connection to Ruto's celebratory remark stating that the ball was in Jubilee's court to ensure Mariga success at the mini-poll.

On Tuesday Deputy president William Ruto admitted that there were cracks in the Jubilee party caused by outside forces. He said the party was losing direction because of cheap politics of personal interest.

"Yes there is a rift in Jubilee caused by political factions, some are for 'Punguza Mzigo' others are for 'ongeza mzigo' initiative. All these have brought confusion in Jubilee," said DP Ruto.
