On Thursday, Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo, in a bid to avert possible arrest over contempt of court, made a U-turn by directly implicating the governor in a case filed by a resident.

At the same time, the arrest of Nurses union official Bonnie Kesugu has also elicited a sharp resistance with the medics now threatening to file a suit against the county.
"Arbitrary arrests cannot cow us. We shall ensure that our members get their salaries which has been delayed," he said soon after securing bail.
