Tiens International is said to have lured the youths by asking them to register by paying Sh26,000, after which they were expected to earn based on the number of referrals made.

Three youths are nursing serious injuries after they allegedly went to the company headquarters in Daraja Mbili market to make follow-ups in their prospective payments.

"I brought five people in February expecting to be paid but they told me the system broke down from Nairobi. In March I was not paid, just like April, forcing my wife to run away with children.

"On Friday, we decided to make follow-ups in their office. We were beaten up by officials. They physically assaulted us and even injured us on our private parts," Dominic Mokua said.

"I had taken a loan to register. Until now, no proceeds seems forthcoming. They beat me up and even cut my hair. I am unable even to pay the loans," another victim Christabel Kwamboka said.

Top officials from the company in question on Friday dismissed the outcry, adding that 'nothing can happen to them because they are well connected within the security systems in Kisii'.

Fredrick Ochieng  alias Prophet John Mowel, who claims to have been in the business for a while, led the youths to Kisii Central Police on Friday where they reported the matter.

Inquest from Kisii Central Police Station indicates that the officers are not aware of the case despite the victims having OB numbers signed by the Officer Commanding the Station.

They have been treated at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital but still under medication. Police are yet to respond to the queries, only insisting that they are unaware. The company under siege sells various products across the county.
