National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi may now be subjected to possible ouster after MPs accused him of 'rigging' the will of people on Thursday.
After prolonged tussle on parliament, President Uhuru Kenyatta's tax proposals were passed albeit controversially.
But MPs from the larger Gusii region have vowed to initiate ouster motion against him.
"Our voices were unanimous but he deemed it fit to rig us. His conduct throughout the special sitting was unbecoming. He must be ready to face the music," said Jerusha Momanyi.
West Mugirango's Vincent Kemosi added: " The speaker was only keen to defend impunity. We shall now deal with him. He must feel the pain of betraying Kenyans."
And Ford Kenya's Richard Onyonka now wants temporary speaker Soipan Tuya to be investigated.
Further, he also accuses the speaker of violating standing orders by upholding 'impunity'.
"Both speakers must face MPs. There is no way you can robe the majority in camera. This is a serious matter."
