Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiangi on Friday promised mourners during the burial ceremony of the late Tabitha Mong'ina Arika, mother to former Councillor Steve Arika in Nyabisabo, Nyaribari Chache constituency in Kisii County that he is focused to ensure development projects are completed in time.
According to Matiang'i, the government has allocated enough funds for the completion of projects.
"We have been given an opportunity by God to serve his people. I want to reiterate that government projects must be completed in time because there are enough funds which have already been allocated towards the completion of the projects," confirmed the CS.
He assured that he will work with all leaders to champion for development.
"As leaders, there is no need to concentrate too much on politics yet it is not time to play politics. It is time for leaders to serve the people with an aim of boosting the living standards of people in villages," he said.
Present at the burial ceremony were Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong'i, Kisii Senator Sam Ongeri, County MP Janet Ongera, Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka and among other leaders.
