Secretary of Digital Innovations and Diaspora Communications Dennis Itumbi on Wednesday penned a heart-warming letter to TV journalist Jacque Maribe's son, Zahari.
In the letter posted on his official Twitter handle, Itumbi noted that the young boy should always know that his mum is a nice person, and ignore the rumours on the media when he grows up.
He underscored that despite the challenges Jacque is facing at the moment, she still has friends who stand by her.
Itumbi explained that Maribe is a loving person, adding that "when she loved, she gave her soul and heart as it should be".
"To Zahari, one day when Google returns results of the rumours and innuendo, may you also know Mum had friends who believed in her innocence and who, like many final verdicts by our Judges, know prosecutors and investigators are NOT always right," Itumbi's letter read in part.
The letter was posted just a few hours before Maribe and her fiancee Joseph Irungu appear in court for their bail application mention.
The two have been in custody for a couple of weeks, after being linked to the murder of business lady Monica Kimani.
