Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama's intervention has borne fruits for a needy 2019 KCPE candidate who had been asked to repeat after failing to raise secondary school fees.
The pupil, a girl, who had garnered 400 marks appealed for help through the area MP who called Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Dr Fred Matiang'i.
His efforts bore fruits after the CS agreed to pay the full fee for the girl who was to repeat class 7 due to lack of school fees despite scoring 400 marks in KCPE 2019.
Speaking on Wednesday during the handing over of the cheque, MP Arama commended media for highlighting the plight of the needy girl.
"I want to thank media for highlighting this and I called CS Matiang'i who agreed to pay the fee," said Arama.
The MP adding that he will be partnering with the CS to ensure the girl completes her studies.
Zipporah Momanyi had been called to join Bunyore Girls.
The father Wilfred Momanyi says after realizing that he was not able to pay the fee for Form one, he had decided that the daughter repeats class 7.
"I had given up and had decided to ensure that the girl repeats class 7 but now am grateful she will complete her studies," said Momanyi.
