Rift Valley MPs allied to Deputy President William Ruto held a closed-door meeting Wednesday night to iron out issues which have reportedly threatened to split Jubilee the middle line.
The meeting was necessitated after it seemed leaders within Jubilee, especially those allied to the DP, were reading from a different script to that of party leader President Uhuru Kenyatta.

After the meeting, the chairman of the Rift Valley MPs and Senators caucus Kipchumba Murkomen said the MPs had agreed on a litany of issues.
He said the MPs were committed to the ideology of the Jubilee party but warned they will not do so blindly.
“This journey requires our total loyalty and principled commitment to the founding vision of the Jubilee movement. By necessary implication, this commitment calls for vigilance and total rejection of all elements, ideas, and attempts to undermine the vision, or sabotage our leadership, or divide our people,” Murkomen said.

Murkomen said they will continue to oppose ‘destructive and divisive’ agendas within Jubilee.
“We cannot be loyal to the Jubilee family, its leadership and founding values while at the same time condoning retrogressive, destructive and divisive agendas. Our strong stand against these connivances as well as their perpetrators is therefore fully consistent with our total loyalty and commitment,” he said.
The night meeting, the Senator said, reached a conclusion to continue supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to implement Jubilee manifesto.
