Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has dismissed city lawyer Donald Kipkorir's claims that Narok leaders on Saturday abused opposition leader Raila Odinga.
In a tweet Saturday, Kipkorir took issue with a section of Narok leaders, who had earlier in the day questioned Raila's involvement in the gold saga said to have gobbled Sh400 million.
He said that it amounted to an abuse, arguing that it would have been wiser for the group to use the opportunity to invite Raila to this years Madaraka Day fete set for the county.
"National Celebrations Of Madaraka Day Of June 1 will be held in Narok. It is a National Honour that many Counties will never get. Yet, instead of Narok Politicians taking the high road to heal the nation and invite all to attend, they congregate today to abuse Baba. INSANITY," he wrote on Twitter.
However, in response on Sunday, Ole Kina who hails from Raila's Orange Democratic Movement took issue with the remarks, finding them collective.
The lawmaker noted that nowhere did area leaders insult the former Prime Minister, accusing the lawyer of making unfounded claims.
"How now ? You lose relevance when you talk about what don’t know! How did we abuse Baba! Wacha ufala!" he wrote.
Speaking while accompanying Deputy President William Ruto, area Woman Representative Soipan Tuya and Narok East MP Ken Aramat urged Raila to record a statement over the saga.
