According to Daily Nation, the report indicates that Syombua died of head injuries while her two children were strangled to death by the killers. The report was released on Wednesday.

The results open another court battle as the probing team seeks to unmask the real killers of the deceased. Central Region Senior Deputy Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions, Peter Mailanyi has said that more arrests will be made in connection with the death.

Police arrested the estranged husband Major Peter Mugure over the murder of the family after the bodies were recovered 20 days after they went missing, and later found buried at a shallow grave in Nanyuki.

The court on Tuesday ruled that Mugure be held for 21 more days pending a probe into the matter.

The detectives are digging deeper into the case to establish the real killers. The prosecution team opposed the release of the suspect on grounds that he could interfere with the evidence in the case.

The other suspect in the murder of the trio Collins Pamba was also remanded for 21 more days to allow the detectives more time to complete their probe.
