Miguna said the bill by Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i that seeks to block Kenyans without Huduma Namba from accessing crucial government services, was a move to turn the country into a "private slave trade" of political families of past President's; Jomo Kenyatta and Daniel Arap Moi.

Terming President Uhuru Kenyatta as a 'despot', the exiled lawyer accused him of an attempt to deny Kenyans their constitution-guaranteed rights by making it impossible for citizens without Huduma Namba to vie or vote during polls.

"Despot Uhuru Kenyatta is not just desperate and plans to turn Kenya into a private slave estate of the Kenyatta and Moi families; he intends to vitiate all constitutional and legal rights including voting and vying for elections using the Huduma Namba," Miguna tweeted on Thursday.

If enacted, the proposed Huduma Bill, 2019, it will compulsory for all citizens seeking government services to be listed on the National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS).

Kenyans without the unique identification number will not access vital services among them; healthcare, elections, registering marriages, registering for electricity connection and enrolling into a public educational facility.

The public now has 14 days from Thursday next week to present their views on the Huduma Namba Bill before it is forwarded to the National Assembly for debate.
