The plummeting relationship between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto should not be a political debate according to DP Ruto.
Speaking on Thursday, Ruto said he is the only politician who has supported President Uhuru since the late 90s when he was introduced to active politics by former President Daniel Moi.
"I have supported Uhuru Kenyatta at every turn. There is no politician who has done what I have done for him. They insulted him, called him all manner of names and now want to lecture me on how to relate with him. Please give me a break," Ruto said as quoted by the Star.
According to Deputy President William Ruto, there are people who do not have the moral consent to question his loyalty to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He accused politicians allied to National Super Allyance (NASA) of plotting to incite him against Uhuru despite never voting for him over the decades. Ruto picked former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa as examples of leaders who never believed in his party leader.
"Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and even Eugene Wamalwa," DP Ruto said.
Ruto maintains that he has been Uhuru even in toughest times like when he conceded defeat in 2002.
