According to Victor Swanya, a former Member of Parliament contestant in Kitutu Masaba constituency, Ruto should be in total silence while individuals from his community are facing graft charges.

Swanya said DP Ruto's community is not targeted as claimed by a section of elected leaders from the region.

"Ruto should ask his allies to keep off corruption war because individuals from the Kalenjin community who are facing corruption charges stole the money alone and not as a community," he said in Nyamira town, Wednesday.

He added that the Judiciary must ensure corrupt individuals are sent to jail and stolen money, as well as properties, be recovered.

The vocal politician argued that misuse of public funds will derail President Uhuru Kenyatta's Big Four Agenda.

"Kenyans need development and not individuals to steal funds. No community will allow its people to engage in dubious dealings to accumulate wealth," he stated.

Swanya insisted that the government should also fight tribalism when it comes to jobs.

"Tribalism must be fought especially when allocating jobs. Every community in this country must be given equal job opportunities," he noted.
