The legal battle between Senator Mithika Linturi and his estranged wife Maryanne Kitany has taken a new twist after the latter spilled beans on their love life.

On Wednesday, Kittany, who has maintained that she was married to the senator, said that she helped the lawmaker settle his Sh200, 000 rent arrears. 

She also said that the senator decided to move into her house because of Sh.200,000 rent arrears. The complainant said that she came across letters showing complains from the landlord before she decided to settle the same on his behalf out of the love she had for him little did she know one day he would deny they were married. 

“I came to learn later that he had rent arrears and I assisted by paying…he asked for some money to pay rent and much later I got to see letters from the landlord. I gave him Ksh. 200,000,” said Kitany, as quoted by Citizen Digital. 

Linturi also narrated how they used to visit different romantic gateways in Naivasha and other parts of the nation after they decided to take their relationship to the next level. She also said that she decided to take all her children to Zanzibar in August 2014 after she agreed with the senator over the matter.
