Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday confirmed the signing of highly rated midfielder Gedson Fernandes from Benfica.
Prior to the move, Fernandes was linked to a number of top European clubs, but decided to settle on Spurs.
In a tweet, Tottenham confirmed the signing, adding that Fernandes will be at the club for 18 months.
"We are delighted to announce that we have reached an agreement for the 18-month loan of Gedson Fernandes from Benfica with an option to make the transfer permanent," Tottenham tweeted.
Born January 9, 1999, the 21-year-old has incredible skills on the field, and is capable of playing at different areas in the pitch.
A number of videos have emerged online showing what the midfielder is capable of, both offensively and defensively.
"A look at our new boy in action... ," Tottenham captioned a short video clip of the midfielder scoring a fantastic goal.
In other videos, the player can be seen making timely tackles, winning the ball, and making promising runs around the pitch.
He is also good at long range shooting, and is passing accuracy is commendable.
