Here are some of the facts that make it unique

1. The opposition wave

Kivumbini has been a National Super Alliance (NASA) leaning area despite being in a Jubilee stronghold county.

Here, those who run on a government-leaning party get white-washed by the opposition.

Currently, it is represented by Wilbur Onyango of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.

The area was last represented by a government-allied politician in 2002, Benson Mwangi Wangai.

2. No serving for a second term

Here, politicians do not win a second term.

Among the latest casualties of 'the politics of one term in Kivumbini' are Risper Auma, her successor, Rose Lai and the immediate former MCA Vitalis 'Major' Okello.

3. Kivumbini is among the most developed

Because of the fact that the ward is largely made up of county residences, it comes fully equipped with tarmacked feeder roads, working sewer lines, fire assembly points, and children playgrounds.

The area is also secured by the Kenya Wildlife Service forces to the South, Bondeni Police Station to the North and has two police quarters, in addition to the good number of churches and schools.
