Strengthening, revamping and uniting ODM party members dominated Governor Wycliffe Oparanya's trip to Nyamira on Saturday.
Bouyed by the presence of local party officials and over 20 MCAs from Kakamega and Nyamira Counties, Oparanya insisted that the party should be on top of the agenda all all members.
Party chairman Richard Kaka said the Nyamira meeting is just the beginning of introducing a revamped party ahead of 2022 polls.
"Strengthening the party in all counties, uniting the party members, revamping the party ahead of 2022 elections, working on ways to solve differences within the party to foster development esp in Assemblies," revealed Kaka.
Earlier, Oparanya held church fundraisers at Nyabite and Motagara SDA churches before proceeding to Damside Hotel for the meeting.
Incidentally, host Governor John Nyagarama did not accompany him despite having ushered him in with sources revealing that he was sick.
At Motagara, Oparanya said he will make more trips across the country, an indication that he could be having Raila Odinga's blessings.
"I will come again and again to help our churches. Don't worry when you see me again around this place. I am thrilled with the reception."
