Nakuru West Member of Parliament Samuel Arama on Sunday asked politicians not to dwell much on 2022 succession politics.

The vocal legislator said leaders from Gusii community should distance themselves from talking about 2022 succession and focus on serving the electorates.

"2022 general elections is too far. I don't see the reason why politicians should talk about 2022 succession yet we there are development projects which are stalling. We need first to deliver before talking about 2022," he noted.

Arama maintained that leaders are chosen from God and therefore, leaders need not to bother about who will become president in 2022.

He challenged elected leaders from Gusii community to champion for development across the Gusii region.

"My appeal to Gusii leaders is that we need to prioritize development for the sake of eradicating poverty from the society and boost the living standards of our people," he stated.

Arama said mismanagement of public funds must also stop.
