Scramble for food

There are mourners who believe that wherever there is funeral there is food. They hover around the kitchen every time in order to get something for their stomach.

They cry a lot once the body is at the homestead with their faces purely dry without any tear. They rarely view the body since they believe it could cut down their appetite. They stay in the homestead even after the burial. They are useful in making sure that food doesn't go to waste.

Fashion mongers

There are people who will only appear during the burial day. They often have a sitting place at the gate to make sure they see everyone that enters or leaves the homestead.

Mostly, this is exhibited by women. They are sensitive with the grooming of their fellows. Whenever they see a mourner in a nice dress, they carry that on their minds and discuss at home and will want their husbands to buy one for them. Men are always vehicle admirers. They don't target to buy but to just gather a story for their arguments while betting.

Ear concentrators

They sit at a strategic position in order to see who reads the eulogy. Their main concentration is to hear everything, even the scratching of the microphone. They note what eulogisers have to say and judge who was the best speaker later after burial. They don't even give offerings nor last respect to the late. They are always filled with laughter not realizing that the mood should be somber.

Clubmen and boxers

They are only seen during the night in groups. The only language they use is vernacular. These people look for small reasons to cause a fight. They are always against the choice of the night DJs, dancers, lady grabbers and fire makers. They walk with harmful weapons not for protection but for fighting.

Funeral Looters

They are present at all times. Their main aim is to steal anything that they think can be stolen. They don't care, they can even steal the shoes and suit preserved for the body.

Sympathizers

These are actual mourners who know that they will also one day die. They engage in activities that could help the deceased family. They fetch water, split firewood and wash the dishes. They are always present until the time the final soil covers the coffin. They cry not because of the dead but mostly because of the family.

Routine masters

They believe they have to attend every funeral even if they don't know whoever died. They cry even before asking whether the departed is man or woman, child or adult.
