A form four candidate from Allidina Visram High School in Mombasa has committed suicide.
The student reportedly killed himself after completing his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations on Friday.
Confirming the incident, Urban police boss Eliud Monari told Daily Nation the male student was found hanging in a classroom by fellow candidates.
Unconfirmed reports said the student was facing a disciplinary case after being found with bhang in the school.
When contacted about the matter, the school principal, Juma Mshimu opted not to talk to the press, saying the matter is with the police.
Monari indicated investigations had commenced to unravel the mystery of the student's death.
