Justice Jessy Lesiit on Wednesday granted Obado’s bail application, but the county chief would not be released from the Industrial Area Remand Prison until Thursday evening, after an issue emerged regarding one of his sureties.

And as he resumes duty, more wrangles should be expected in the county and the entire Luo Nyanza region, resulting from his apparent differences with fellow area leaders.

Before his arrest in September, the county chief had openly opposed the area dominant Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ideologies and the party would retaliate by deserting him in prison.

His most likely opponent in the brewing row will be the county Senator-elect Ochillo Ayacko, with whom they are not in good political terms and whose nomination he opposed.

Further, operations are expected to resume their initial smooth nature, after some complains of poor services and laxity emerged following his detention.

This will be preceded by a series of meetings between him and his officials and county workers, as he seeks to catch up, having been locked away for 34 days.

The Governor is also expected to weigh in on the heating referendum debate, and is most likely to oppose opposition leader Raila Odinga’s push for the expansion of the executive arm of government.
