In 2015, Tala residents in Matungulu sub county woke to a bizarre sight after a man was found murdered and his privates parts missing.
The body of the middle-aged man was discovered by passersby at Tala township ground's in the market.
His body had deep visible cuts on the neck, the funny bit was the chopped off private parts.
Residents who gathered at the scene were left wondering why the man was murdered and his private parts chopped off.
The body was covered in blood though there was no single drop of blood in the surrounding.
The then police boss Joseph Chesire said there were chances that the man was murdered elsewhere and body dumped at the scene.
"I was informed by members of the public about the body lying at the play ground I too was shocked that the private parts were missing, it didn't look like a normal murder but we will treat it as murder," Chesire said.
Police removed the body belonging to Mutinda Mulae to Kangundo Level Four Hospital's mourtuary.
At the end of it all, the mysterious incident was left to the police to unravel.
