All roads in Tetu, Nyeri County on Saturday were leading to Kigogoini village for the wedding of Titus Kariuki Ndung'u and Peris Wanjiru.
Unlike many weddings where the bride is always the centre of attraction in this was the bridegroom, the famous Wanjohi Wa Kigogoini.
It was attended by hundreds who comprised politicians, radio and television presenters, musicians, businessmen, clergy and to crown it was broadcasted live on Kameme TV.
Wanjohi has made a name for himself due to his habit of making voice calls to every gikuyu radio station everyday to contribute to any topic of discussion.
But what has always astonished presenters and listeners is how he manages to make successful calls in to about three stations within 10 minutes!
His trademark way of ending a call is to pass greetings to certain people, mostly politicians, and his beloved people of Kigogoini.
Now on Saturday, those around and abroad came to see and witnesses Wanjohi, the comical guy with a feminine voice, say 'I do'.
He has been telling everyone cares to listen that he is for looking mundu (spouse) and has never forgotten to request Kameme FM's presenter Rev. Lucy Wa Ngunjiri to pray for him.
And yesterday Wanjohi seemed overwhelmed after his prayer was answered and exchanged marriage vows with Wanjiru at Kigogoini PCEA Church.
To show how he was happy, he gave the bride an affectionate kiss as can be seen on this video.
